About Shane Vikus
The story began as a hobby in 2007 to pass time in between school and work. It quickly went from a hobby to a full fledged project consuming ample amounts of his time. As with most artists, his initial tracks were very amateur and needed quite a bit of refining. Piece by piece, day by day, he managed to educate himself on the essentials to producing quality music. He spent over 4 years perfecting his craft with minimal exposure or gratification. His projects merely served as a foundation and educational purpose to better himself as a musician.
Let’s fast forward to the present day. He has held previous residencies at Circus Disco (Hollywood, CA), Scott’s Restaurant & Bar (Costa Mesa, CA) and Sutra (Costa Mesa, CA). He is currently a resident for GIANT Club at The Yost Theater (Santa Ana, CA) in addition to the multiple other venues he has played at. He has shared the stage with world renowned artists such as Morgan Page, LA Riots, Mark Knight, Green Velvet, and Calvin Harris. Shane also just finished releasing his first track “Vespilo” on Banguru Records.
He recently joined forces with 2 talented DJs/producers named Daniel Minaya and Robbie Reinzuch and together they have formed the group The Anti-Heroes. Keep an eye out for these DJs/producers as they make waves in the Southern California electronic music scene.
