Out February 22nd on Flumo Recordings
Hailing from the UK’s south coast, Zee&Eli release their debut EP ‘I Wanna Dance’ with Spanish label Flumo Recordings in February 2012. The talented up-and-coming duo offer up a pair of stripped back, deep house cuts featuring vintage touches, big bumping bass lines and techy edges.
Early indications are that Zee&Eli are shaping up to make a significant mark with their blend of house meets nu-disco, indie dance and big bass lines. They already have a high profile supporter in Tim Green who has been playing their tracks at a string of gigs.
With a sound that’s always evolving and with a keen ear for fun dance floor shenanigans, the duo’s early releases will come courtesy of labels such as Flumo, Ponton, Hype Muzik, it_Tizz and ZiiZii Records. Their tracks draw influence from a varied range of producers such as Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Lee Foss, Solomun, Claude VonStroke and Crazy P.
Speaking of their sound and creative process Zee&Eli say, “We like to buy an old bit of analogue equipment, like a synth or a drum machine, and see what we can get out of it. Our aim is to make a dance floor track but not limit ourselves with genre restrictions and allow the vibe we have in the studio to take shape.” With a DJ, live and EFX show in the pipeline and interest growing rapidly, expect to see the Zee&Eli’s name appearing more and more regularly over the months ahead.
