Achal Khurana & Harsh Vasudeva from Mumbai, India, collectively known as Deep Haze presents their quintessential winter gem: Celestial, on Norwegian trance imprint: Apocalypse Red. Natlife has been assigned remix duties, which sums up for an excellent package focusing on melodic trance.
Celestial (Original Mix):
Deep Haze opens with a straightforward deep kickdrum and plucked teaser. And when we arrive to the break, the real beauty starts to unfold, layer by layer. Soothing pads, followed by serene semiclassical ethnic vox by Indian vocalist Rima, calls for a sonic celebration..! Evocative vocals embodies the spirit of longing for her soul mate, while the anthemic arp lead creates truly celestial experience, radiating from the core.!
Celestial (Orchestral Dub):
Same as original mix, but with soaring violins in the breakdown, without the vocals.
Celestial (Natlife ‘Back In India’ Remix):
Natlife’s rework feels more chilled out and brings a strong laidback beach house vibe. The bouncy tribal bassline sucks you right in, with its groovy demeanor. The vocals in the break are sounds expansive setting up the soundstage perfectly, when the bassline kicks back again. Stuttered vocals with the subtle plucked melody brings lots of exuberance to the track, as we gently proceed towards outro. A classy remix, spot on for unwinding yourself.!
If uplifting trance is what you crave for, give original a try! A pleasant work from a relatively less known artist/label, which packs a lot of energy as well as warming emotions. Natlife’s progressive rework is also smashing, offers a truly innovative spin on the original.
